Texas baby!

I had SOOOOO much fun in Texas! It was so wonderful just to hang out with the Velasquez family and catch up. Tyler had a blast with the three kids and Angi and I had fun just being together. We got a variety of weather from rain, snow, sun, wind, pretty much everything! I think the most interesting thing I got to do was go to a meat factory and see the process of how beef is made from when the cow walks in until it is all boxed up and ready to go. It was so interesting and pretty bloody. Didn't turn me off meat though, in fact Dave, Angi and I went and got a burger on the way home :) We also went to Cadillac Ranch, The Big Texan, got massages and just had a all round good time! At the Big Texan they have a meal that if you can eat a 72 ounce steak, potato, salad and shrimp cocktail in an hour or less you get it for free. If not, it is $80. Needless to say, Chad and Dave are wanting to give it a try. Any other takers?? Remember, that is 4.5 pounds of beef. Here are some pics -

Off to Texas!

I am going to visit David, Angi and the kids!! YEAH!!! I am also hoping to accomplish these things:

1 - shoot something
2 - ride a horse (I would like to rope a steer but the pregnancy may prevent that)
3 - eat Texas toast
4 - buy a cowboy hat
5- go line dancing

That about rounds up a trip to Texas doesn't it?!?

Tyler's first snow experience

The first couple of days we were in Oregon there was some snow on the ground and a few random flurries. I took Tyler out to experience it. He thought it was okay unless he fell and then it was pretty much horrible in his book. Hopefully next year we can get a sled and take him down some hills and give him a good time in the snow!

Tyler went to kindergarten today

I got a call yesterday from a kinder teachers I used to work with. One of them was going home sick and needed a sub for Friday (there are two teachers to a class AM/PM). I said I would love to but didn't have anyone to take care of Tyler. She said, I don't care, just bring him! So Tyler went to Kindergarten with me today. He is so smart. Now he knows all his ABC's, colors, shapes, how to count to 100 :) He had a great time watching the kids and playing outside and listening to the teacher. I think he will love it (in four years!).
