Just some stuff.
1 - I got a new job. I work at home and I am the administrator/meeting planner for the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (WCMID). I have been at the job for about 3 weeks and really enjoy it. It is just part time and I work from home so it is perfect. I will have to travel to the annual meetings but the next one is in August in San Francisco so I have some time.
2 - The telephone guy just came to install the new phone line and fax line for the office. The phone jack is behind my desk and apparently they have a "no moving furniture" policy. My desk is huge and impossible for me to move alone so he left and I had to reschedule. Don't you think this is something they should have told me before he came?!?
3 - Tyler's new favorite thing is "how are you momma/dada?" We answer "I'm good, how are you?" and he says "I'm good". This is repeated many many more times. So cute though. He also now reads his picture bible and calls Noah "not Santa" because Chad had to correct him. Santa didn't build the ark, Noah did so now he just says "not Santa made boat, right dada?".
4 - Tanner is sleeping right now. He has only slept a total of 15 or so minutes since he woke up at 7:45 this morning. He was just sitting there smiling at me from his swing. Hopefully he takes a little more than a 10 minute nap now!
5 - Went to the dentist this morning to fill a cavity on my top left and bottom right. They COULD NOT get the bottom right numb. Took them 3 tries. Now, 5 hours later the numbing is beginning to wear off.
6 - I am going to a late lunch/early dinner with some friends. We are going to eat sushi...wonder if I can get Tyler to try it?
7 - Thinking of joining the gym up here. I need to do some weights and start toning/firming up. I want to feel good about myself and I would love to participate in some classes.
8 - I am going to take my last class toward my credential starting Monday. Didn't think I was busy enough already :) Then all I have left is student teaching. I will get some waived since I taught for two years but not all. Still have to work that out. And they want $1441 a class. Isn't that crazy?
9 - I love my boys. I love my husband. I am so blessed.
Look mom, I don't nap!

I met up with a couple of other moms from a playgroup and we went to the zoo. Tyler had a lot of fun. His favorite at the zoo is the elephants and the giraffes but he did enjoy the snakes a lot also. When we were walking in he asked me where Shamu was. Too funny.

It was a nice weekend here in San Diego. Friday the boys and I watched Chad's water polo team play and then we came home for a relaxing evening and ate breakfast for dinner...so yummy. Saturday Chad taught a paddle boarding lesson and then when he got home we all went to Ryan's 2nd birthday party at the park. Tyler had a ton of fun and of course loved that he got to eat cupcakes. Megan had decorated them with zoo animals and Tyler thought that was pretty neat! Saturday night I went out with Kate and Laurice to celebrate mine and Kate's birthdays. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed yummy food. After church today we went with Chad's parents and grandparents out for lunch to the Claim Jumper to celebrate my and grandpa's birthdays. Both on the 17th! This afternoon was spent swimming and playing with Rossi. Now Chad and Tyler are catching up on some football. Back to reality tommorrow :)
Mommy, I see you!
Just like mommy when she runs!

On Tyler's birthday I was the really cool mom and took the kids for their checkups (shots included). Both boys are doing great and I was super surprised at how well Tyler did. He isn't a fan of strangers touching him but he had no problem with the nurses and doctor. The only thing he didn't like too much was the tounge compressor in his mouth and of course his shot. Tanner was just wiggling around and smiling at the doctor until the shots but after he fell promptly asleep. That has been the only day in a LONG time that Tanner has napped for more than 30 minutes. I am praying he outgrows this no nap stage. On the other hand, he is going pretty solid for an 8 or 9 sometimes 10 hour stretch at night. NICE!

That's my boys for you. LOVE them!

We had so much fun at Tyler's Big Truck Party this weekend. The kids decorated their own construction hats, we had cones and caution tape up, a big truck bounce house and pizza and cake! Any 2 year old boys dream come true! Tyler LOVED the bounce house this year (last year he wanted nothing to do with it). It was set up at 9:00 am and him and Rossi in it for about 2 hours (just breaking for a bath) before the party even started. Tyler had so much fun. He had 10 of his little buddies there and lots of his grown up friends too. Here are LOTS of pictures!
The bowls he gave to all his guests - it was a big truck bowl and included a truck stencil, John Deere fruit snacks, a Danger Zone/Construction Zone bracelet and a truck Matchbox Car
