Christmas photo shoot

We are back in sunny (yet pretty cold) San Diego. We had an absolutely wonderful time in Oregon. I have a gazillion pictures to go through but thought I would post some of our family photo shoot. Chad did a great job and the cousins looked adorable in their matching outfits. The ones that include the children are pretty funny because it is hard to get a 2 year old, 1 year old and 5 month old all happy and looking the same direction at one time. More pics of the trip will follow!

Raining and more

It is raining here. FINALLY. I tell you, it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit when I am walking around in shorts! It is supposed to rain on and off for the next three days. I like it. Then we head to Oregon on Thursday for what I hear is some COLD weather. I am so looking forward to spending the time with my family and my family being able to spend some time with the boys.
Tyler is now officially out of diapers. I have three diapers left which we are using at night. He has taken to potty training so well. Every time he pees he says "it's working mommy!" and then jumps up, gives me a hug and says "I am so proud of you." Too cute. Then he gets his candy. He has had a few days accident free and a few with just one accident. Yeah for no more big diapers!!
Tanner is now five months old. Can you believe it?!? He wants to crawl so bad. He pushes up on his knees and he can push up on his arms but not together yet. He loves his big brother and Tyler often requests Tanner to come play in his room. Tyler will spend forever just laying on the floor playing with Tanner and showing him all the toys.

I found the boys dancing on daddy when I got home from the gym

He started making this face all the time. Too funny.

Look at my foot (this is because Tanner sticks his foot in his mouth all the time while eating)

Children's Museum

I tagged along with the kindergarten class last week and took the boys to the new Children's Museum. I was really impressed and we had a great time. Tyler's favorite part was painting the car outside. I am pretty sure he would have stayed there for hours if I let him. He kept telling me he was painting a car car.
On a different note Tyler is full on potty training. We are in underwear today. It is 12:00 pm and so far no accidents. I am bribing him telling him that Bumpa will buy him a treat. Nice. Now he wants to call Bumpa every time he pees. Did it once but pretty sure that Bumpa is kind of busy at work :) I am so ready to be done with diapers and him!
Tanner is doing great. Still not sleeping good but is such a happy baby. Twenty minute naps here and there are his thing. He has starting eating solid food twice a day. He has had rice cereal, sweet potatoes and pears. Loves it all! He is rolling and scooting everywhere. I am pretty sure he will be an early crawler.
Here are some pics from the museum!

Santa

It was Christmas in Imperial Beach on Saturday. Santa was there, crafts, face painting, cookies and juice, train rides, and games. Best of all...it was FREE! I was beginning to think my kids may not see Santa this year because all of the malls around here are charging $20! Anyway, Tyler loved him just liked last year. He ran over and jumped in the sleigh. I had just woken Tanner up and he was oblivious. Tyler is very excited for Christmas this year. He keeps talking about Santa coming to Bumpa and Nana's house. Oh, and this Santa asked him if he was going to leave cookies so now Tyler keeps saying "we need cookies for Santa and me!".

An excited Tyler (notice our beautiful weather :))

And with Tyler and Tanner. It was the best I could get of Tanner.

SO much fun!

We had such a fun time for Chad's 30ish birthday celebration :) The limo picked up us and eight of our friends and took us to an awesome sushi restaurant. The manager at the sushi restaurant is a friend of ours and was ready for us. We had an amazing night of laughs, good food and just enjoying friends. I think we will make this a tradition!

This is Chad eating the "Flaming Chad Salad". It was a real item on the menu. Our friend told us it was named after the owner's very gay friend. Chad is doing a great impression.

Happy Birthday Chad!

My dear husband -

The last six years that we have been together, 4.5 of them married, have been the most wonderful, amazing years of my life. I will never forget the barbeque where we met (thanks Jeremy!), and how very handsome and friendly you were. Your smile melted my heart and still does to this day.
You are so kind and generous to everyone that crosses your path (except for that driver who just stopped dead in our lane because she missed her turning lane...maybe not her). But really, everyone else. Your students and water polo players love and respect you.
As a husband, words don't seem enough. You are the man of my dreams. You are the first to hold me when I am afraid. You are my encourager when I doubt myself. You are the one who made me a Mother. You are my heart, my life, my best friend, my soul mate.
To watch you as a daddy to our baby boys almost brings me to tears at times. You know how important your role is in shaping the character of our children and you take that role seriously. Our boys know that they are loved, that they are never alone, and that you are there for them. You realize that it takes a commitment to treat your children the same way your heavenly father treats you. You have patience when mine has run out, wisdom when I don't know what to do and calm in the time of chaos (which occurs almost daily with two little boys!). I can't wait to see our boys grow and learn from their daddy.
You make me feel incredible when you tell me every day that you are the luckiest person in the world. Unfortunately that’s not true, you are not the luckiest person in the world...

I am.

I love you baby. Happy birthday.

Stayed tuned for some birthday celebration pictures! I have rented a limo to take a bunch of us out for dinner. Should be a blast!
