An update

Nothing too crazy to report around here. Chad is super busy with girls water polo. Two more weeks of the season...then on to swim season. He has the San Diego Open tournament this week which was on Monday, today and tomorrow. We miss him on these long days. We actually went out to the second game on Monday night (about 30 minutes away) and then went to eat at In n Out with the team. The girls adore the boys and a handful of them come and watch the boys occassionally when they have their free block at school so I can go to the gym. Got to love built in babysitters!
Tanner is crawling. Not a very smooth crawl but definately can make his way across a room quickly if he wants to. The house is back to being baby proofed and the gates are about to come back out! No teeth yet but I don't think it will be long now!
Tyler is doing great. He asks to go to school every day. We are looking at a class for him that starts in September. It is called the Preppy class and meets a couple of mornings a week. It is the preschool that feeds into our district. I think he would enjoy that. He also joined the wiffle ball team for Imperial Beach Little League. He is so excited to start (end of February). Him and Rossi will be on the same team. Should be funny to watch!
Here are the boys this morning. So hard to get a good shot of them!

Welcome Baby Max!

One of my best friends, Ashley (and her husband Adam) welcomed their first baby yesterday. He was 3 1/2 weeks early and was 6 pounds, 6 ounces. I spoke with her when she was 8 centimeters and she was doing great, happy the epidural was in place. Adam said she did wonderful and is doing great now. I can't wait to see pics!
And on a cool note, she gave birth at Cedars Sinai and had no available rooms when she checked in so they put her in the celebrity suite (it has held Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, etc). She said it was AMAZING! Lucky girl!

And nothing to do with Max but super funny -

Vegas baby!

Bright and early Saturday morning Chad and I got in the car to go and meet some of our very best friends in Vegas (Dave & Angi). They moved to Texas in October 2007. Chad and I stayed for one night. We had the best of time. I had never been to Vegas before. Some of the highlights included:

*Buffet at the Bellagio
*Jay Leno show
*Blackjack
*Exploring the Wynn hotel
*Angi and I riding every ride on top of the stratosphere - including the big shot 4 times (may have been scarier then when the two of us went sky diving)
*Crab & ice cream for breakfast
*Just being with our friends!

Chad's parents watched the boys and they did well. I was really nervous leaving them (especially Tanner) but he did pretty good. I have only ever been away from Tyler for two nights (once to give birth to Tanner in July, once in December) so needless to say leaving them was hard! Chad's parents did great but were beyond exhausted. They said they couldn't believe how tiring it was and how I did that every day. I told them that is why you have kids in your 20's and 30's and not your late 50's!!

Applying for this job

Unless Jenna beats me to it.

Half a year and I want this

WOW, Tanner was six months old yesterday. Half a year. How time flies. He is such a wonderful addition to our family and such a happy little guy. He is finally sleeping better (Praise God!) and now only wakes once or twice a night which I can handle. After we get back from Vegas (another post on that) I will only feed him once a night and then next month he gets cut off from night eating. That is what I did with Tyler and it worked great. Tanner is now sitting unassisted fairly well (at least until he throws himself forward or back), moves completely across the room from rolling and pulling and loves playing with his brother. They play so well already together. I love it! This little man is adorable!

And I found this necklace I want. In fact, I think I will use my Christmas money and buy one. I have been looking for something similar. It of course will have my kids names and birthstones. What do you think...like it?

Happy Birthday to my wonderful, beautiful, sister

Jenn turns 27 today! You are an amazing person, one of my very best friends. You have been there for me in the ups and downs and even though we may not live close, I love how close we are. I hope you have a wonderful year filled with laughter, love and fun. I love you!

Do they look like brothers?

We were out playing last night and Tanner was in the walker in a little green fleece that Tyler often wore. I remembered one of my favorite pics of Tyler was wearing that fleece in the walker so I snapped a few of Tanner. Do they look like brothers?

Snow time!

We had the good fortune of enjoying some snow up in Oregon. I was really excited that it snowed because I wanted Tyler to get out and play in it. My dad got ONE round sled type thing (which of course Brandon promptly broke) and we all took turns. I think Jenn and I had more fun than the kids the first time around :) Tyler and Emma just like to eat the snow. When I told Tyler to stop eating the snow he told me "it isn't snow, it's chicken". Nice. Anyway, we had a blast and had fun letting the kids run around and play (and the adults too!)
