Flowers on the doorstep

I came home the other day and there were flowers on my doorstep. The president of the organization I work for sent them to me on behalf of him and the members of the board to say how thankful they were for me during this time of Thanksgiving. Made my heart feel warm.

Baking cookies

Well, baking season is upon us. I find around fall the oven is filled with breads, muffins and cookies. I enjoy baking and I love to share with those around us! It's a win win situation because then the treats don't sit here in the house for only us to eat! Tyler helped me make daddy's favorite cookies. The Hershey Kiss Peanut Butter Blossoms. Tyler unwrapped all the hershey kisses and helped me put everything together, roll the cookies in balls and then in the sugar. Tanner ran around with daddy playing until the cookies were done. I didn't try any since peanut butter is not one of my favorites but my boys assure me they were delicious!

Jenn - I hope you are ready for this.

My kids LOVE this ball pit. They can spend hours in this thing! That being said, I have balls EVERYWHERE. We are always picking them up! Just get ready Jenn, just get ready.

Closet Cleaning

Today I got the urge to purge. Ever watch the show Hoarders?? Every time I see it I get the urge to go through and throw stuff away. Today, my clothes got the brunt of my cleaning. I had stuff in boxes from when I was pregnant with Tyler that was just old and most of it no longer in style. So, I went through it all and went through my entire closet and every drawer and purged. The pile was taller then my kiddos. The picture does not do it justice. I had SO much and trust me, I still have a ton.

Veteran's Day fun

Since Chad had the day off yesterday we went to breakfast at Hash House. It is an amazing breakfast place in Hillcrest but we have only been a couple of times because the average wait on the weekend is an hour and a half. After breakfast we went to a suspension bridge that is over the canyon and went for a walk. The boys loved how the bridge would sway back and forth, me, not so much. Then the boys took a nap while Chad coached practice and then it was park time. It is nice having daddy home for a day in the middle of the week!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween. On Friday we carved pumpkins with Dave, Shannon and Rossi (our neighbors and great friends). Saturday morning we went to a Fall Festival at a local church that a few of Chad's students go to. The boys loved playing all the games. Saturday evening we went with Dave, Shannon, Rossi, Chip, Bethany and their little girl Taylor and did some trick or treating. Tyler was Superman and Tanner was a monkey. Rossi was Supergirl but for some reason I don't have a picture of Tyler and Rossi together. After hitting up some houses we all headed back to our house for the traditional Halloween spaghetti dinner. We had a great time and the kids were exhausted by the end of it (so were the parents!).
